Dr. Factor is an internist specializing in epidemiology and immunology. She teaches public health and community medicine at Columbia Presbytarian and Mount Sinai hospitals. as an expert on issues of public health. She served as leader of the Center for Disease Control’s response team for the SARS outbreak in Taiwan and the recent anthrax scare in New York. She is currently the CDC assignee with New York City’s Bureau of Emergency Management.
